He’s a player in more ways than one…
College junior John Logan can get any girl he wants. For this hockey star, life is a parade of parties and hook-ups, but behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he’ll be forced to walk after graduation. A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he’s worth a second chance.
Now he’s going to need to up his game…
After a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to. She’s not a charity case, and she’s not the quiet butterfly she was when they first hooked up. If Logan expects her to roll over and beg like all his other puck bunnies, he can think again. He wants her back? He’ll have to work for it. This time around, she’ll be the one in the driver’s seat…and she plans on driving him wild
I love you, you stupid
Another book that I putted off for god knows how long! I love Elle Kennedy’s Off-Campus series. I was one of those people who suggest well not suggests, more of harassed people, to read something that I know they will enjoy. And thank the gods because they also love it!
This second book is all about Logan, even though this series can be read individually there are cameos of Garrett and Hannah in this book. And of course, they are still gushy in love.
I love college romances; since the vibe feels real for me. John Logan is another hot hockey player who is crushing on his best friend’s girlfriend aka Hannah. He keeps avoiding the two of them because of course he feels uncomfortable. Then one evening he meets Grace Ivers. He met her accidentally because he mistaken Grace’s dorm room for another.
Logan is a dick. But then again he was also charming. I loved how he makes me laugh with his crazy lines and his hotness. I love how the Grace is also funny in this novel. She is just as strong as Logan’s character and I love that because for an NA book that is really a plus.
I love how this book was written. I also love the “wooing” parts of Logan. It was just so hilarious and of course the list was also hilarious and absurd but I liked it. I also love how both characters have their individual goals. Even though Logan has issues with his family and Grace is finding her place in college away from her best friend. Even though they have a rough start in their relationship, hence, the title, it was really good that Logan came in to his senses and he did everything to get Grace back.
Overall, the book will make you swoon, laugh-out-loud and swoon again. Another masterpiece by Elle Kennedy! I couldn’t wait for Dean’s story! He is also funny, I can’t wait to see him serious in the next book.
So until then, cheers!
